theraunchypriest: ((So, being a bit neglectful of my RP blogs, as well as contemplating a few discussions I’ve had with friends, have made me kind of anxious as of late. And so, I wanted to ask you guys just for general feedback. I’m kind of stuck in a bind with class and work and a plethora of IRL stuff so I understand if I’ve been neglecting my threads here and there, but… I was just...

An Unexpected Journey [Currach / Sontaire]
sontaire: “Rarely are stares welcoming to begin with, Reachman.” She grinned, looking at him curiously. Wasn’t he supposed to be a warrior? Was he a Ravager, or a Briarheart, or something along those lines? She wasn’t exactly familiar with all their titles or statuses. She just knew they lived in Redoubts and one had a little butterfly in his chest and her guard enjoyed being dominated by women...

The Old Ways [Currach / Ishbel]
highland-ishbel: “Yes, it does.” she nodded, “It marks me as an archer from Clan MacGillivray of Evermor. They’re also supposed to channel the Old Gods to protect me in battle. Mostly, they link me as a follower of The Morrigan with the hope that I am given the cunning of a crow when faced with adversity. All archers are supposed to be cunning and be able to adapt quickly. Read the wind and...

thisoldtelvanni: Endris cocked his head at the question. Poisoning a rival was fair game but a whole family? He wasn’t Helseth! “Of course not, they didn’t do anything to me. Children are a rare thing for Dunmer, and I’m sure his wife would have had no trouble in remarrying. I may be Telvanni but I’m not evil.” he pouted. “Killing rivals is just a part of life, but killing unrelated bystanders...

redoubtsandrainbows: The goat seemed to be more attentive, probably because it was a bit older, and gave a bleat, almost as if it understood. It seemed the animals that followed Rémi around were unusually intelligent. Or at least the goat was, the dog seemed normal enough. The white animal trotted back a few paces, staring at Currach, and gave another bleat. It wanted to be followed! Currach...

redoubtsandrainbows: Indeed, there was something there. A little puppy, red and wiry fur, wet with water as it lapped at the stream. The goat followed Currach and seemed familiar with the dog, because the little creature went up to the white goat and sniffed at it, before sniffing all around Currach’s feet and licking his leg. No Rémi. Currach bit his lip. Now he was surrounded by...

He was surprised- most people called him names or said hurtful things when he took the urn out. “We were headed to a cave to stay the night because we had things planned that we didn’t want our parents to see. We were collecting ingredients along the way. My House- clan, if you will- is quite a brutal, petty grouping of mages, and whilst we were separated briefly,...

The Old Ways [Currach / Ishbel]
highland-ishbel: “Oh.” she stiffened, “No. I’m not. I’m from Evermor on the other side of the mountain.” Ishbel fidgeted a bit as she spoke, not sure whether she should be polite or put up a strong fight. She was talking to someone who was, essentially, undead and that bothered her immensely. The thought didn’t cross her mind with Rémi for some reason. His childish nature steered her perception...

An Unexpected Journey [Currach / Sontaire]
sontaire: Oh, how thoroughly she enjoyed his internal conflict. To stare, or not to stare? She enjoyed it because she knew he was staring for only the most positive of reasons, and a grin shone brightly upon her visage. So, so triumphant. But he didn’t need to know that. Instead of saying anything quite yet, Sontaire kept her grip on his hand gently, pulling him away from the hoi polloi and...

A Character-Building Question Meme
apeacebone: Sakura and I tried to come up with a list of questions that we didn’t see around very often, and we wanted to share! So, here it is, yet another character-building question meme. Leave one of my characters and a number (or more) in my ask, and I will answer: What foods do they love, and what foods do they refuse to eat? What is their weapon of choice, and what weapon do they...

redoubtsandrainbows: No one was there, it seemed, except a small white goat. Rémi’s goat. It merely looked placidly at Currach and bleated. Nearby the rocks was a stream, maybe Rémi was over there? He hadn’t spoken to Remi in a while, but something about the goat told him that it was likely they knew each other; after all, few Reachmen had goats for companions, and most of them were...

The Old Ways [Currach / Ishbel]
highland-ishbel: “Oh, that’s….quite alright.” she said pensively, “Um. My name is Ishbel. What’s yours?” The Breton figured that as long as she kept up the small talk, she stood a chance of not incurring any sort of wrath from the Briarheart. He definitely looked different from Rémi in every single way. His face didn’t bare the same innocent look in the eyes, but a rather determined gaze. More...

thisoldtelvanni: “She’s right here with me.” Endris nodded, pulling out an urn. “We’re twins” He explained, most unhelpfully. Of course, Currach wasn’t to know that the ghosts of Dunmer ancestors could be summoned for protection, which was something so basic and natural to Endris that he didn’t realize what he looked like to an outsider’s point of view. And that was a crackpot roaming through...

An Unexpected Journey [Currach / Sontaire]
sontaire: “Well,” She laughed and stood, finding it lucky the book she carried was small - it fit nicely in her satchel, she thought, as it was put away, “You are a talkative one, aren’t you?” Being immune to such ogling by now, it was as if she didn’t even notice it. With a taciturn flick of her wrist she pushed a section of her red locks back behind her shoulder so that the strap of her...

An Unexpected Journey [Currach / Sontaire]
sontaire: It was a rather pleasant day outside, certainly stroll-weather. It was a day most townsfolk could feel at ease outside of their houses and not quite so grumpy, at least, not as grumpy as usual. They all looked rather sour. Today was so mild that it made them seem decidedly less sour than usual. What a blessing it was. And so, on this mild day, Sontaire was sitting out on a bench to...

People here don’t consider that there are people that can eliminate a threat without even glancing in their direction.” He huffed. An Unexpected Journey [Currach / Sontaire]
Remi liked to run. A lot. It had started off as a leisurely walk—the flightly Briarheart made sure to mention that he liked to visit his friends often, and Currach personally had no qualms with it, so long as the he didn’t start seeking the shady sort, like that priest they’d happened upon a few weeks earlier.  Still, he hadn’t quite processed how much of a distance...

The Old Ways [Currach / Ishbel]
Since the meeting with the other nearby redoubts the night before, Currach had thankfully been allowed a few days of repose before they’d meet again to discuss their next tactics. Of course, Red Eagle’s redoubt never truly participated in the Forsworn’s more offensive plans—on the other hand, the Sundered Towers, being tucked in the cliffs, served as little more than a...

Currach is an insomniac, and even before his rebirth as a Briarheart, had much trouble sleeping. While he often made a point to remedy this through a bit of drink before bed, this habit stopped since his transformation. Since then, he has somewhat of an aversion to alcohol, and only barely sips it through special occasions.

breakthereach: Rori was distinctly uncomfortable with the entire situation. The Briarheart, the bear, Anluan in her arms, and now this offer…it wasn’t out of the ordinary for Forsworn to share what they had, but. She was reluctant. “…Anluan shouldn’t go into a redoubt.” Her son was her son, and he wouldn’t hurt her, not on purpose. But he was not tame in the least. He would do as he wished, and...

There was a moment of panic in which she was certain she was dead. He would fly into a rage or— …Well. He…hadn’t, had he? Which was odd. She, and Anluan, should be dead by now. Homecoming [ Currach | Aisling ]
alrek-allard: “I would like that,” Aisling said finally. Her blue eyes met Currach’s mismatched pair. The sadness in her words could not be ignored, but neither could the hope that seemed to flourish. “It would do me a world of good, I think, to speak to the Gods once more, as originally intended for a child of the Reach.” She looked down the winding path, as far as her eyes could see, and took...
