On some days, I take Faolan’s blade to the Standing Stones. I realize it is a danger to leave the Sundered Towers with it in tow, but the longer I keep it from the gods, the more it burns. It calls for its master.
I cannot yet take it to the crypt; it is not yet time. But something about bringing it to the stones feels like the right thing to do.
((This was my finals paper for my English 102 class. There were two rules for this paper:
1. It had to be a research paper.
2. It couldn’t be under eight pages, and couldn’t exceed ten.
I took advantage of my English professor’s rather nerdy nature, and when I emailed him my proposal document, I am 100% sure he squeed on the other side of the computer. He sure typed like he did :) Despite how excited I was to do this,
studying for other finals procrastination gave me 3 days to finish it.
And so this happened. I know a few of you were looking forward to seeing it, so here it is! As usual, I have provided a GoogleDoc for those who have problems seeing it, or you can click on the “read more”. I couldn’t be as eloquent and thorough as I would have liked (as I was even typing it up on it the day it was due), but I think this is a good preview of only the tip of the iceberg of ideas I had. :)))
OOC: I finally found a Briarheart body mesh in the console. I put it on Curry, and now he is a Briarheart in-game. I also found some interesting buffing spells (Briarheart Lupine and others EDIT: I think this is from a mod I DL’ed that plans to release Briarheart abilities in the next update) exclusive to Briarhearts that I found very interesting.
Unfortunately, I can’t find the body mesh that actually has a Briarheart in the chest cavity, so Currach is more or less running around Skyrim with a gaping hole in his chest. I’m guessing that mesh is supposed to be used when you pickpocket their hearts, which makes me wonder how he is still alive! I’ll have to check the CK and see if I can put other things instead of Briarhearts in.
There’s nothing quite like the morning chill. It’s sad to know I can’t sleep outside all of the time, but lately there’s been a nice turn in the weather that may work in my favor.
Maybe tomorrow night, I will lie against the earth again, and hear it whisper stories in my ear.
